Wedding Fairs YAY or NAY!
Wedding Fairs YAY or NAY!
Well first off I can speak from experience I have been to at least 6 different ones since we got engaged.
There are different types of these fairs in which you can attend most come under 3 categories.
- national / regional wedding fairs
- venue fairs
- venue open day /showcases
Wedding fairs both national and regional are a big deal and are usually held in big establishments like arenas or conference spaces. These are sometimes held over a full weekend or maybe just one day usually a sunday.
These types of fairs allow the customers (mainly brides) to interact with numerous vendors selling various items you may or may not need for your wedding. Some of these fairs charge a fee to get in but you usually receive a goodie bag of sample items ( ive received nail polish, hair spray, sweets etc before)
Where as venue fairs and venue open days are quite similar to each other they are usually based at a hotel and are majorly to represent what the hotel chain or the hotel itself can offer in regard to your wedding day. However they also have a selection of vendors chosen by the events coordinator at the hotel.
These fairs also allow you to have a wander around specific placss which are not usually available to see unless by appointment.
I would say if you have a venue in mind go to their open day which youwill find details about on their website or you may have to contact the venue itself.
If you need advice or just want to see whats available in your area then the regional fairs would be more beneficial.
