Day out to Bamburgh Castle

We went for a day trip to Bamburgh it is about an hour and a half north of Newcastle. We decided to visit the castle as we are all interested in history. however when we visited we were disappointed it was about £11 each for entrance fee. which after walking around for only 30mins we were finished it there wasn't much to see.
